Train will be Slovenian 664 throughout on 3 SZ compartment carriages

Saturday 10 December 2011
Ljubljana - Jesenice - Salzburg

Sunday 11 December 2011
Salzburg - Attnang-Puchheim - Selzthal - Bischofshofen - Salzburg*
* (likely 664 on rear on last section from Bischofshofen - Salzburg as 664 can only operate short hood leading on ÖBB)

Monday 12 December 2011
Salzburg - Jesenice - Ljubljana

I am looking for good scenic locations where to request photo stops on our special train on 11 December.

Between 1000 and 1200 we can try for good photo spot between Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning?

Between 1400 and 1600 we can try for good photo spot between Stainach-Irdning - Bischofshofen

Really we want good sunshine and nice mountain / lake in background. Can anyone make suggestion please. With link to location of photo also?

Sorry in English! Technical approval has been given for a Slovenian 664 GM loco to work the PTG Christmas Markets trip from December 10-12 from Ljubljana throughout to Salzburg! The trip will see three days on noisy 664 GM action, on 10th the train runs from Ljubljana-Salzburg via the famous Tauern route, on 11th a circular trip from Salzburg via Attnang-Puchheim - Selzthal - Bischofshofen - Salzburg using steeply graded lines and on 12th a return to Ljubljana again via the Tauern route. The 664 should certainly turn a few heads thundering through the Austrian Mountains. Very comfortable Slovenian carriages with lots of opening windows will be used on the train
