DSB, MY 1126 Padborg - Struer & more ...

MY 1126 operated the tour from Padborg - Struer on Saturday, 4 classic compartment carriages were used, providing very sociable accommodation for the trip. It ran exactly as booked and on the return covered very rare long term DMU only route via Struer - Skjern - Herning. Details of the trip are still on the http://www.gm-gruppen.dk/ site at:

ME News: One rare working not mentioned before on here (thanks for spotting it Stewart!), is IR1653 (to Århus) on Fridays now starts at København Kastrup (airport) and is believed to be the first ever booked diesel turn out of there.

IC4 are now undergoing tests and with introduction of DB 605 IC DMUs in December on EC trains this will allow refurbishment of IC3 for local train use which in turn will lead to the end of all hauled trains, it will take time but expect to see reductions soon! EC370/371 will finish mid December so no more ME from Padborg! A short clip of the train here:

Not a DMU/EMU fan, but the mixed use of a 4 car EMU in multiple with three 3 car DMU's is impressive!
